Veco Website Improvements

Published on 13 September 2010 by Alex.

Our website for the Veco product range has undergone a bit of a facelift!

We have listened to our customers’ feedback about what users want from both the Veco website and automotive updates. Customers particularly liked the use of the cross reference facility but wanted to see it improved and more prominent on the site. If you haven’t seen our reference comparison tool click here.

We have also redesigned our ‘News Updates‘ section of Veco, an extremely useful section of the website which our customers love using, in order to keep up-to-date with the latest promotions and additions to the Veco range. The news section now makes it easier to narrow down the updates you are looking for, as well as clearly identifying the different ways you can keep updated on future news.

As always we appreciate your feedback on our progress when it comes to our web presence. Let us know your thoughts using the form below.

RENU – Discontinued

Published on 19 August 2010 by Alex.

After years of servicing our loyal engine rebuild customers we have had to make the difficult decision to discontinue our Renu range of Engine parts.

This decision has not been made lightly. Several factors including the value of used car prices being at an all time low and the Government scrappage scheme have made it increasingly difficult for us to sustain a competitive and marketable product .

We currently have disposal stocks of the following:

Pre-combustion Chambers

Tappet Shims

Inlet & Exhaust Valves

Valve Guides

Valve Seat Inserts

If you are interested in purchasing any of our remaining stocks, contact us for an up to date stock list.

UPDATE

ALL RENU STOCKS HAVE NOW BEEN SOLD

New Recruit

Published on 17 August 2010 by Verne.

Experienced aftermarket sales professional, Ian Hughes has joined Universal Automotive as its new business development manager for the southwest of England.

Ian has worked in the aftermarket for the whole of his career and has enjoyed significant periods with some well-known businesses. He spent 12 years with Autostart followed by ten years with Sovereign and then another eight years with Quinton Hazell before becoming part of the Universal Automotive team in June.

John Goodland, Universal Automotive’s sales director said: “Professionals of Ian’s pedigree do not come along very often and so we are delighted to be able to welcome onto the team.

“The aftermarket is a tight knit community and Ian has established relationships with many businesses and we have already seen that many are interested in the great brands and quality products we distribute.”

Ian added: “As the south coast has been my ‘patch’ for such a long time, I have got to know many of the businesses as friends, rather than just as my customers. They are always pleased to see me and they are also very interested in VECO as they remember it as a reputable aftermarket brand.

“Personally, it is great to get stuck into a new challenge with a new business and new products. However, it is particularly pleasing to hear my customers who had previously not dealt with Universal Automotive say how professional the people are and how good they are to deal with.”
